鈴木 雄太（YUTA SUZUKI, Ph.D.）

After graduating from high school, he moved to the U.S. by himself and completed B.S. Medicinal Chemistry (Summa Cum Laude) at SUNY at Buffalo and Ph.D. Chemistry (Chemical Biology) at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. After that, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Prof. Akif Tezcan's lab (UCSD), where he was engaged in research on protein design. After returning to Japan, he worked at a start-up company before assuming his current position as a PI at the Hakubi Center, Kyoto University.

He studied under Professor Yuji Goto at the Institute for Protein Research, Osaka University from his fourth year of chemistry at the Faculty of Science, Osaka University. He conducted research on the formation mechanism of amyloid fibrils from a thermodynamic viewpoint. In March 2020, he completed his doctorate in Polymer Science at the Graduate School of Science, Osaka University (after shortening the standard term by one year). Ph.D. (Science). In April 2020, he joined the Suzuki Lab as a research fellow at the Graduate School of Human and Environmental Studies, Kyoto University. He has been a Research Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (PD) since 2021.
